Home Movie Denial – either you have it, or you suffer from it
I’m a professional television editor, and I don’t have the heart to tell friends and family that their home movies are dreadful.
Of course, now all my friends and family are reading this posting and beginning to wonder if I’m referring to them.
Is Scott blogging about my home movies? Are my videos dreadful to watch?Yes I am. Yes they are.
You don’t mean the one of little Buford eating his first birthday cake. That home movie was adorable.Especially that movie. It was especially dreadful.
This is nothing to be ashamed of. It’s not that little Buford’s birthday is not worthy of being documented. It’s not even that the little shaver is not adorable. Truth be known- Buford is a great kid, and he’s cute as a button. (Whatever that means. I just know that buttons are supposed to be cute.)
The problem is that nobody taught BIG Buford how to make his home movies interesting or- well- good.
- Don’t be in denial anymore.
- End the suffering of your loved ones.
- Make a home movie they acually want to watch.
